creating keepsakes has a new special issue out. have you seen it? 101+ creative ways to use your scrapbook supplies.
101 creative ways to use your scrapbook supplies, by jennifer mcquire, is an all time favorite idea book of mine. it's actually one that still sits in my pile of magazines, on the end table in the family room. even though it came out years ago. so i was very excited to hear that there was another take on this coming out. and that book is 101+ creative ways to use your scrapbook supplies, featuring the amazingly talented jennifer, along with a team of contributing designers.
this book is full of ideas for all those supplies you already have on hand. fun techniques for using our products in new ways. ideas for using our scraps and leftovers. creative ways to give products a whole new look. tons of ideas to make the most of the products we have and love.
here's a peek at one of my projects i created for this book 😉
check out this fun preview of the inside of the book. you can purchase 101+ creative ways to use your scrapbook supplies in the scrap & paper shop. use code FS101B, to get free shipping on orders of $25 or more, through december 31, 2010. you can also find this issue on newstands now.
creating keepsakes has generously passed along an extra copy to me, to share with one of my lucky blog readers. just leave me a comment and let me know your favorite type of product. is it ribbon? chipboard? pattern paper? buttons? stickers? i will randomly draw a winner on friday morning, to receive a free copy of this amazing book 🙂
eta: i just read through all your comments so far, and pattern paper definately has the highest vote so far. interesting. in a good way. lol! love hearing what everyone loves. i think when i announce the winner, i'll also talk about my favorite supplies. except, i reserve the right to pick 5-10 things. because, you know. it's MY blog 😉
eta again: comments closed for this drawing. busy day tomorrow, and wanted to get the winner posted. thanks for playing along 🙂

I have to say my current favourite products are buttons! I use them in small groups with a few bits of bling or sometimes just on their own. Love em, in all colours! (btw – if I win the giveaway I am more than happy to pay postage to New Zealand).

I would have to say designer paper. I don’t have a ton of embellishments so I like to fancy up my pages with lots of paper. 🙂

Hi laura! My fave supply? Right now it’s Glimmer Mist. Been having fun with that lately. I have seen this book in barnes and noble and each time pick it up, love browsing through it (love, love, love Jennifer McG’s work!) and then put it back because of the high price (for a magazine)…so, thanks for doing this giveaway!
Can’t wait to read your post about your fave supplies!

If I have to choose one – paper in general -patterned or cardstock – it’s the base for almost every craft I do.

Patterned paper is my favorite embellie. For me, a layout is not complete unless it has a piece of patterned paper on it somewhere.

I’m a paper junkie – I know all the lines, have all the sheets. And recently I have been put on a paper stop and I missed the newest papers and it is making me so sad…b/c you know once a line is gone, it will never come back again!!

I would have to say alpha stickers. I went through a “phase” I guess you could say, where I threw away all my stickers. I wouldn’t use them at all. But now, I am so hooked on alphabet stickers. I love that they come in so many sizes and colors, and have fun mixing and matching them to make a unique title, or a small patch of journaling.
Thanks for the chance to win Jennifer’s book!

I letter stickers, as they get my titles done quickly and easily.

I love buttons and anything else that creates unique texture on a page. That really means that I love everything that appeals to my sense of touch, ribbon, chipboard, metal stuff like brads, old hat pins, etc. It is so hard to choose a favorite. I feel kind of like you are asking me which child is my favorite!

I would have to say pattern paper, especially the thicker stuff like Basic Grey, etc. Brads is always another staple product for me & ink 🙂

This looks like a great book. I love that patterned paper can also be used to ’embellish’. And I love my ol’ fashioned die cutter. Smallish and you can come up with a slug of embellies with just a small tote of dies and a little creativity.
