it's monday. i'm not always a fan of monday's. but i guess it was pretty nice to have a nice, long holiday weekend. i actually did NOTHING for two of those days. just laid around, watched movies off the DVR, watched six straight hours of "friends" on thanksgiving night (every single thanksgiving episode from their 10 seasons, and a few i watched twice), did some digital scrapping, and just did a whole lot of relaxing. it was lovely 🙂
on to a layout share. awwww. isn't emily the most precious little baby! photos like these make me wish i had photos like that of my girls, when they were babies. i had borrowed some photos from my photographer friend, krista, for a few projects, and i just had to scrap these photos of her youngest daughter.
this die cut brown patterned paper is from studio calico. actually, all the pattern paper on this layout is from studio calico. i really love the large cut out circles on the die cut paper, and it was my starting point for this layout. i cut a 12 inch strip to use along the left side of the layout, and then a smaller strip to use on the bottom right corner of the layout. so i still have a good sized piece left over.
when i was searching through my huge stash of thickers for my title, i was mainly looking for brown alphas. i have a lot of these fancy cursive style fonts. am i the only one that has one heck of a time, lining these up? i can never get the tilt of the letters right, but still have them perfectly straight, as i like them. lol!
i added some white trims to this simple page design. the larger lace scalloped trim is from making memories, and has been in my stash for years and years. the smaller white scalloped trim is from american crafts. a few rhinestone brads finished off the page.
