every now and then, i sort of feel like this:

IMG_4228_edit_resize1
{ that's sarah. not me }

like i just want to lay on the couch, curl up under a blanket, and bury my head down and ignore the world. it  hit me yesterday, and i just couldn't shake it. i had no motivation to do anything. no desire to get anything done. i didn't even have daycare kids here, and yet, i did NOTHING at all the entire day. i didn't even watch tv. it was kind of pathetic.

but it happens. and it will pass. sometimes, i think you just have to go with the funk, and ride it out. there are reasons behind it, and reasons i'm not motivated or inspired. and soon, something will happen that will make me want to get stuff done. if nothing else, it will be a deadline. can't ignore those 😉

    Yes, I understand..I battle with motivation a lot too..sometimes you just have to give yourself permission to just chill for a bit..you do so much, I have no idea how you do it all…

    I completely understand! Been there and done that many times! I always like to think it is my body telling me to slow down and take a break! I have found myself in these funks for days on end! That is a terrible thing!

    I feel the same way! It’s almost December, and I don’t feel “the Christmas Spirit”…I hope it goes away soon! Maybe it’s all the fog we have been having? Or maybe it’s being 40? I don’t know…but at least it’s good to know we aren’t alone! Take care!

    That has been me for the last 4 days- yuck! My excuse is a head cold/sinus and chest congestion- but FINALLY seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It is okay to have days like this- I mean afterall- that creative brain of your needs a break here and there too, right? Smiles from PA!

    This has been me for the last ten days. I cannot seem to shake it. I am hoping it will pass myself, because I have a few of those deadlines(;
    Enjoy your break, and soon you will find your motivation again(:

    I think the funk is our bodies telling us it’s time to slow way down and relax, there’s nothing wrong with doing nothing, feels good I think!!

    It’s not pathetic to give yourself time to unwind and relax and do nothing. I couldn’t survive without days like that. You are busy, busy. I’m glad you did it. I just hope you don’t feel guilty over it. My philosophy – Rest, it does a body good!

    Lots of wisdom already stated above! You totally deserve some time to just “be”! For me, I think it really gives me a lot more energy, wisdom and inspiration than when I’m going a million miles a minute! Good for you for allowing yourself that time!

    I totally know what you mean. I crawled back in bed this morning after I got the kids to the bus stop. I slept until 11:30 a.m. Wow! It was great. Hope you are feeling all the more energy today.

    Everyone needs to give themselves down time – really a day (or more) to do absolutely nothing, think about absolutely nothing. I have been having a lot of those these days . . . just found out though that I am anemic with really low iron so that could be one reason. LOL
    Hope you feel better soon and always take the time for yourself!

    First off: {{{{BIG HUGS}}}}
    Secondly, I feel ya. We all get those days (I get them lots), some people more than others. I found out last year I have PPMD….it explains a lot. A day “off” helps. Feel better my friend!
