Hey all! In between the busyness of the weekend, and losing an hour, I managed to sneak in a little bit of creating. My February picture order arrived Friday night, and I've already got all of my photos worked into my Project Life album. I'm looking forward to working on journaling cards over the next few days for the five weeks worth of photos I added in. I also finished up two more weeks, that I'll share this week.

Today I'm sharing week three of my 2017 album. I've still got the same two pocket page protector designs going. One has the two 4×6" photos and 5 3×4" pockets, and one has nine 3×4" pockets. When ordering my photos, I order almost every photo as a 3×4", unless it will only work as a 4×6" photo. It's easy to plan for that, since pretty much all of my pockets at this point are 3×4".

I've got my weekly title card – I'm using the Weekly Edition Journaling Cards, from One Little Bird for these. I mentioned before that I'm simply adding these to my photo order, so they're printed on photo paper.

I'm using a variety of digital journaling card kits, from both Ali Edwards and Cathy Zielske, to do all of my journaling. So far, I've been adding 3-4 of these into each week's spread. For the photos that don't have a journaling card to go with them, I might add a sticker or some other embellishment, depending on what I find as I'm going along. Like the little "life is better with friends" sticker that I added to the photo of the daycare kids playing together.

I used one of the digital journaling cards from Ali Edwards' Story Kit: Numbers, to go along with the photo of the actual kit, as this was the kit I guest designed for in January.

I've mentioned before that I ask the girls, at the end of each month, to send me any photos they had from the month. Sarah will send me photos of dogs most months, and I honestly have no clue who's dogs they are. Lol. For January, she sent me all of four photos. One of which was a photo of her soccer sign on the fence – pretty much the same as the photo above that I took. And then she had this photo of a dude. I had to include it, since she only gave me four photos to work with, so I made sure to tell the story of it on my journaling card.

I mentioned that I'm going to include a calendar card in each week's spread. I'm using the Project 52 Fresh Calendars from Becky Higgins – I'm linking to the digital kit thru her site, but I'm actually using the kit on the Project Life app. I use the app to put two 3×4" photos on a 4×6", and then I send them to myself using Dropbox.

I wanted to mark the week that the spread is for, and decided to use a digital star "stamp" to mark the dates on the cards. I lowered the opacity, so that you can still read the dates thru the stars. Once I had the markers on there, I sent them back to my phone using Dropbox, and then added them to my photo order.

Once I get my journaling cards and a few filler cards added into the spread, that's when I start digging around in my stash to add a few simple embellishments to the spread. It might be some alpha stickers to add to a photo, a few small stickers to add here and there, enamels, die cuts, or maybe some chipboard pieces.

I don't stress over this part at all. I just dig around till something catches my eye, and I don't worry at all about trying to make it perfect. I'm keeping this project simple and easy, so that it remains do-able and fun. And so far, it's working!
