Hey all. Sooo. I'm back to share another week in my 2018 Project Life album. I have always shared my album in order. I may not totally work on it in order, but I finish the weeks in order. If that makes any sense. But I am skipping over weeks nineteen and twenty, as I got a little hung up on those weeks. I'll come back to them once I get them finished.

So, I did have quite a few photos for week twenty one, so I ended up including a 6×12" insert. I find that a lot of weeks, I have too many photos to go without the insert, but I also don't always have enough photos to fill the insert. Basically, I'll often include extra photos when using an insert, that I would have narrowed down more if the photos conveniently fit onto a normal two page spread. Hmmm. Not sure that makes sense, but hopefully, you get what I'm saying.

Wow. Two photos from Sarah in the same week! That's a record. She claims she doesn't take photos, and never has any to share with me. It's always a small miracle when she Snapchats me.

Goofy kiddos. I have to admit, I miss having them around. What I don't miss, is the trillion oak cabinets that we had at the old house.

I love the Recorded Journaling Cards from In A Creative Bubble, and had picked up the 8th set when it came out a while back. I use a ton of her 3×4" journaling cards, but it's rare that I use a 4×6" journaling card in my album. I usually fill any 4×6" pockets with photos. But on my 6×12" insert for this week, I had room for a larger journaling card, so they came in handy.

This is an example of using more photos, mainly because I had the pockets to work with. I could have narrowed these down, as I didn't need to include so many photos to document Alyssa's new job. But I thought the three photos made a good mix, so I went with it.

I love that Alyssa takes so many photos at work, and work events. She has had so many great photos since starting there, that I'm actually wanting to do something with them. Maybe a digital book or something.

Here's the right side of the weekly spread, with the 6×12" insert on the left.

Honestly, some weeks, Alyssa makes up for the majority of my photos. I often joke that without her photos, I'd have a lot of bare weeks. Lol.

Sometimes, I just love the mix of colors that I end up with when I pick out my filler cards. And I still love when at first glance, the photos seem to be all over the place color-wise, but I end up pulling them all together by picking out 2-3 colors to focus on. It just sort of works itself out.

I had picked up this digital "Rate This" stamp set from Kellie Stamps (I don't see the actual set listed right now, so I'm not sure if she still has it) and I really need to remember to use it more often. It came in perfectly for this journaling card. I added the "wine rating" to the top of my digital journaling card, and after printing it out, I colored in the wine glasses with a dark purple marker.

It usually works out that I have some journaling for just about every single photo in my album. Whether it's a full journaling card, one of the Pocket Maps (the half photo, with a sentence or two on the bottom), or even just a Snapchat photo that has some text added to it.

The adorable selfie that one of my daycare cuties took didn't have a journaling card, so I just typed up a little journaling and adhered it across my filler card.

For anyone that has followed my blog since the beginning, you might recognize that special young lady in the photo above. That's Amanda, who was one of my daycare girlies, and one of the girl's best friends for many years. If I ever had a third daughter, her name would have been Amanda.

I'll be back to share another completed spread next week. I have some cards to share as well. And I just finished up a few new layouts, so those will be coming, but not until next month. I also got inspired to work on a 6×8 album that I started forever ago, so I might even be sharing that soon, as I got a ton of work done on it earlier this week. Feeling very inspired lately, so I hope to keep it up, as I feel like I'm in a real creative groove these days.
