i'm stuck on these colors, i tell you! so bright and fun … i just love color! did this layout and 3 cards yesterday. and i stretched every inch of that sheet of yellow pattern paper … all these were made from one sheet (one of these cards, i made 2 of).
a few weeks ago, the super talented jennifer asked me if i wanted to pick out some hero arts stamps to play around with. i was thrilled that she thought to ask me … after all, i have admired her work for years and years. now i have admitted that i'm not much of a stamper … but mainly because i'm a lazy scrapper. lol! but i've been having fun playing with them. on these projects, i mainly used the heart (which i can't find a link to right now), layering circles, and the circle journaling shape.
i had stamped a bunch of these hearts on scraps of cardstock in bright colors and then cut them out. that's how this whole layout started … i didn't even know what photo i was using. i thought it would be cute to punch holes in the hearts and then back them with white cardstock. then i added a few mini brads to each heart … not in the middle of the holes, but slightly to the side. this cool rub-on title from ki memories just happen to be sitting on my desk … and i thought it would go good. love that kind of stuff … things that aren't planned, they just happen. other stuff is making memories brads (which i'm strongly addicted too!), lil davis ribbon, and the pattern paper is also ki memories.
same basic idea … on a card. i love using my scraps while they're out … and using my layout design on a smaller scale like a card. and since i had smaller scraps of pattern paper … i just added 2 seperate pieces and adhered the ribbon where they meet.
and a fun birthday card … something i need to make more of. i think i have birthdays coming up … and i never have cards. of course, here's my problem … when i really like the way a card turns out … i have a hard time giving it away. lol! tell me i'm not the only one that does this!
