thought i'd share the card i made from the leftover scraps from my last layout.

Have_a_fabulous_birthday_card

used some new hero arts stamps that jennifer was nice enough to send me. that heart butterfly is so cute! and i really need to use sentiment stamps more often … i'm usually digging for rubons for the majority of my cards. and also used the threading water punch from fiskars on the green paper … so glad i tracked that down! other than that … nothing fancy. just a cute card!

supplies:
pattern paper – making memories (green – passport collection), chatterbox (yellow and blue)
stamps, gems – hero arts
swiss dot embossing folder – cuttlebug
threading water punch – fiskars

other – string

i found your blog via scrapscene and as i was reading i ran across your comment about making a mess when using embriodery floss. you’ll be so surprised at how easy it is to use… find the loose end and hold onto it with your right thumb and finger… hold the other end of the full skene ( or wad or whatever you call it) in your other hand by your other thumb and finger then gently pull the loose strand in your right hand. only pull what you need but leave a conspicuous strand hanging just a little long so you can find it next time you need a piece.
hope that helps. i was a crossstitcher before i was a scrapper.

Very cute card!! I want to find some nice sentiment stamps to use for card making. I have looked and looked but alas the spot on the wall for the Threading Water is always empty 😦 Lucky you to have it.

I was lucky enough to see the great card! I feel so lucky! Congrats to you for being published yet again! But, seriously, Laura, you must stop enabling me. I, too, want the threading water punch. I found it on-line while I was web surfing at lunch (just gotta remember where). And, I was really close to picking up the Cuttlebug at Michael’s with my 40%-off coupon on my way home from work today, but decided to wait for my birthday next month. I also browsed the web-site you suggested for the embossing folders. I can’t wait for my birthday!
