nothing like waiting until the last minute … typical of me. lol! i wanted some cards to submit to some calls … some calls that are due tonight. but for some reason … i have no cards laying around. i was doing so well about creating cards with the scraps from my layouts … and i've gotten away from that for some reason. so tonight i whipped these up super quick.

Just_for_you_card

tag is from creative cafe … and ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dot embossing folder. yes, i'm still addicted to that one folder. lol! large flower and journaling spot is from heidi swapp. stamp is hero arts.

the green dot paper is actually the chipboard from some making memories product packaging. i love dots … so i keep saving those from my packaging … thinking they'd be great for something. and tonight … they were! heidi swapp flower and journaling spot again. scalloped circle is a fiskars punch … and the scalloped border is a stampin up punch.

and this is the mess that came from making 2 cards. lol! i know, i know … some of you are thinking that THAT is really not a mess. but for me … it is! my desk was totally clean today … just the one pile in the far corner (with the fun red polka-dot felt showing!). and the 2 shirts that have been sitting there on hangers all week … and yet neither of the girls will claim them. lol! for the record … as soon as i took this photo … i set my camera down and cleaned it all up. i'm like that. i clean up everything as soon as i'm done with a project … totally clean before going on to the next project!

Love your cards! I have a ton of those flowers, so I think I’m going to copy you and make some cards (hope that’s ok). Way outside my comfort zone (cards), but since I haven’t been scrapping at all lately, I need a smaller scale project to inspire me. Do you make your own envies, too? Oh, if I haven’t said so, I really like your new blog pict!

Very fun cards, Laura! I’ve used that dotted packaging on a layout and a card too — they should totally make it into a paper – I love it! :o)

Great job on both your dot and flower cards. They are so happy looking.
Your scrapbook room is so organized. What a lovely place to create. I need your habbit of cleaning up after each project. I have out grown my area and need more storeage from IKEA. I need a unit or two and storage things to put them in. I will get there a little at a time. Until then I store things in clear storage so I can see what I have.
    Have a great weekend!!!

Wow, love the giant flowers Laura! I have bunches of those but they just sit there in a drawer cause they’re so big. Love what you did with them!
Your room looks like mine when its clean!! LOL! I love it when I can see your space, messy or not. I clean my space BEFORE I start a new project but not after I finish one.

Super cute cards – love those large flowers!
And a messy work area is a sign of crafty progress 🙂 Though I have to do the same – clean up before the next one! Looks so nice to have such a large work surface too!

Hey Laura, I love your scrap space! You’re a lucky girl! I just to have happened to do the same thing the other day…put a tag through my swiss dot cuttlebug emboss folder. I just wanted to tell you that so incase I do post it…you don’t think I copied you. Although, I have to say, I’m really not above copying and proudly admit it if I do!

I need to start doing that. Clean up immediately. I have a hard time approaching a blank desk though. It’s sort of intimidating, so I almost always have something out on the table. But tonight, I am working on organization. NO MORE EXCUSES! Love your cards by the way! I STILL need a Cuttlebug! And I’m curious – how long did they take? You said super quick – is that like ten minutes or so? Just curious about your creative process! 🙂

Those cards are AWESOME! And yeah the Swiss Dots folder is my favorite too! Great idea to use the pkg on the card! I disagree on your space though–totally not THAT messy! I’d trade messy desks with you anyday!! It’s funny I took a pic the other day of my messy space but haven’t posted it yet.

Laura those cards are so cute!! I really love all the stuff you’ve done with the cuttlebug. I really have been thinking about getting it but I have my quickutz.. and tons and tons of dies for it and a zipemat and cricut and sillouette and a revoluation.. I wonder if I can use cuttlebug dies in any of those machines. hmmmm
