these photos were from last sunday … but they could really be from any given day. although for whatever reason … about 80% of the time they play soccer, they play it IN the house. lol!

i know these next few aren't technically great … and they're blurry. just one of those brain fart moments with the camera … i have those often. but still love them.

i thought this one was cute … she DOES love soccer. lol! and i love that they love it … and are in it to have fun. the past few weeks during their indoor soccer games … they've played against some pretty rough teams. while their team is out there to have fun and keep the girls playing in the off season … they're being put up against all these highly competitive teams that are out for blood. they even tell me that girls from the other team are swearing at them out on the field. that makes me mad … and sad at the same time. hate that kids are like that at such a young age … when they should be having fun and being kids. good to know that my girls are on a team that is out there for those reasons.

My daughter is in ballet. I have had issues with one teacher that was way over the top with her style of teaching. Several times my DD would cry because she did not like going. This school was for the
performing arts in . She was only six at the time. We stopped for a year and just this year she (on her own wanted to try again). I found another school and she is just loving it this time around.
These photos are really good, even though you are not so happy with them. I think they show the girls style and having fun together.
    Have a great day!!

Love the photos, even the ones you say “aren’t technically great”. To me, they are some of the best I’ve seen you do. I think it is more about the moments you are capturing than how technically perfect they are. Of course, you know that or you wouldn’t have them here. I think that little sermon was more for my sake than yours…lol! I have a perfectionist side to my personality that I am always having to talk to. KWIM?
And yeah, it is such a sad thing to see kids not being able to be kids. The pressure to perform is drilled into them at such an early age these days. Breaks my heart. Fortunately, we only had a few run-ins with coaches and teams that lost their perspective. You gotta want to win, but man, keep the balance!

I completely agree with you about the sports. I like a healthy amount of competitiveness, but why do people have to get nasty? At ANY age?

My youngest is on a private basketball team. The coach does not believe in sucking the life out of the opponent but being respectful, the boys enjoying and loving the game. We may not win every game but my son has improved so much on his positions but also in school and his social interactions. Can’t beat it!
