i told joe last night that today was national scrapbook day … and he totally thought i was kidding. i guess he's used to me being funny and sarcastic about things … just figured i was making it up. lol! anyways … hope everyone is having a great time today and maybe even making some time to scrapbook. i feel like i should have some great, amazing, informative post for this special day. but i don't. i did manage to dig up a few layouts that i can share though.

Max_rugged

i finally got around to finishing a few more layouts for sarah, from our photo swap. i had done these two layouts a while back … and just never shared the other layouts. actually, these two layouts were the ones i started first … yet i just couldn't finish them. and in all honesty … this layout of her son max? the only thing i actually added in the last few weeks was the photo corner. lol! i liked the simplicity of this layout … and yet in some ways, i felt like i should add more to it. i finally decided it was good as is. she'll be adding some journaling under the title later.

supplies:
pattern paper – making memories
chipboard stars – deluxe designs
chipboard tag – heidi swapp
brad – making memories
photo corner – heidi swapp

Charlie's_puppy

these are photos of sarah's nephew, charlie. and his "puppy" … which isn't really a puppy at all. i thought that was so cute. she says he takes him everywhere. this layout was done … except the title, which i finally did last night. and i'm sure she'll be adding some journaling on here somewhere once she gets it!

supplies:
pattern paper – making memories
chipboard letters – heidi swapp
letter stickers – doodlebug
button, fabric tag – junkitz
star brads – making memories
ribbon – lil davis
punch – fiskars

Family_thankful2

and this layout was up on the jillibean soup blog a few days ago (check their blog out, they're doing a fun giveaway). more old photos of a super old layout … can you tell i've been looking through old albums lately?!?! these photos were from thanksgiving over 6 years ago. for whatever reason, these photos were on 2 entirely different layouts (neither of which was actually finished) … and i had copies in BOTH of the girls albums. so i actually went from 4 layouts down to 1 layout. i wish i had some journaling for it … but really, it was just us at thanksgiving. enough said. lol!

supplies:
pattern paper – jillibean soup
letter stickers – jillibean soup
punch – stamping up
brads – heidi swapp
other – string

i'm hoping to make some time to scrap tonight. i had some HUGE issues with my computer the last few days … it was bad, really bad. but it's all straightened out and back to running normal (a huge thanks to alyssa's dad) … so i'm getting back on track. i have layouts in the works. have been totally organzing my albums. yes, they were already organized … but now they're MORE organized. lol! i'm catching up on my project 365. working on a plan to organize my photos. lost of stuff. just trying to focus in on a few things … so that i can finish something enough to actually share. instead of "almost" finishing about 13 things.

Laura, I love all of these!!! The first one with all the square PP shapes, perfect for showing all that gorgeous paper yet the picture really stands out. Love the loopy letters and tags on the second one (I have that red boy tag, need to use it).
And the thanksgiving came out great! you have a lot of great pics on one page and worked it well! Fun to see old pics of you and your family. The girls are so itty bitty! Have fun scrapping tonight!

We had a party to go this evening. So I did not get to do anything scrapping wise. I plan on enjoying tomorrow unpacking layouts from my retreat and laundry. Oh joy!
    Happy Scrapping Day!

Love the layouts. Love how you added the squares of color to the first layout (and what a great idea if you have scraps of paper to do a layout like this).

How sad that I didn’t realize it was today!?! What a bone head! Probably since my lss is going out of business, I didn’t pay attention – they usually advertise something. Anyway – LOVIN the boy lo’s – woohoo!!!! First one is way cool – I may have to scrap lift that one for Jordan 🙂
I better go scrap something and post it like I knew it was NSD – lol!

I love the second layout. They’re all good, but I’m drawn to the bright colors. I love red. I especially like the red loopy letter stickers. They seem to be just the right size for something I’m working on …
I have two boys myself (and a girl) so I always enjoy seeing good boy layouts 🙂
Good job on all of them 🙂

Super cute – Sarah is going to love these! I love that pp on the first one – did you actually stitch all those blocks?? Or does it come like that? Btw, Derrick thought I was making up National Scrapbooking Day too. And then of course, he wanted to know who decides such things! LOL!
