Speaking of calendars, I thought I would share my layout that I created for the 2013 calendar that Scrapbook & Cards Today put out last year. I was assigned the month of January, given a specific sketch to work with, and was sent some Echo Parks products to work with. And this is the layout I came up with.

I was also asked to incorporate a washi tape technique into my title. I chose a chunky title that I could die cut, and that would give me a good negative cut to work with.

I then backed my title letters with different tapes to coordinate with my papers. I used all Bella Blvd tapes for this, as they matched perfectly. *** Ignore the cursive sub-title in this image. That was something that got switched out during the approval process.

Love the layout (and I like the cursive title!) and backing the cutout letters with washi is a great idea – going to have to try that.
