i have a layout to share. but first you have to go check out this layout … by the amazingly talented sarah klemish. i wanted to scrap today … but didn’t know what i wanted to do. so i went through sarah’s garden gallery … and picked out this layout of hers to lift … to be inspired by. and here’s what i came up with:

Vanessa_happiness

i had this photo of nikolas’s sister, vanessa, printed out for something else i was going to do. but i thought i’d toss it on a layout instead. and i thought it fit perfect with sarah’s design. and by lifting her design … all the hard work was done for me. so this took me all of a half hour to make. love that!

another reason i wanted to lift one of her layouts? i totally forgot to share this … but she used one of my layouts for the user inspiration section at 2peas in april. i was so flattered when she asked to use one of my layouts … i’m a big fan of her work. she choose to lift this layout of mine (which conveniently has the same title as my layout above!), and you can see her layout HERE. loved her take on my design … so fun to see! so thank sarah!

supplies:
scalloped cardstock, brads – bazzill
pattern paper – scenic route
sticker – creative cafe
clip – making memories
rubon stitches – DCVW
title word – heidi swapp

This is too cute. Isn’t it great when you can get a layout done in no time- I tend to obsess sometimes and spend way too much time on one layout. I need to start lifting some of yours- that would be okay right?

Hi Laura, I just came across this blog http://claudinehellmuth.blogspot.com/ about the laws changing about anyone being able to take your photos and use them in advertisements etc. If the bill is passed then this will be the case. For some reason I immediately thought of you and Keisha because both of your photos are beautiful. Check out http://claudinehellmuth.blogspot.com/ where it has all the info in detail and there’s forms apparently you can fill out to prevent this bill being passed.

Gorgeous layout Laura … love the colours and the big scallops. The black line around the photo is really effective too. Sounds like fun lifting Sarah’s layout and her lifting your’s … it’s nice when someone appreciates your work like that … give you that feel good feeling!! 🙂

    Love the layout.
Question about the clip — does it crush whatever is on the opposite page, or do you take off when you place in the page protector?
