i've been in a scrapping rut this past week. i just couldn't get anything started. so yesterday, i decided to lift this layout by jennifer to get myself going. i loved the basic design … and thought it would be perfect for our easter egg hunt photos.

Easter_egg_hunt

loved how jennifer used all the small photos all lined up. so i printed out a bunch of photos in the 2×3 size … and then used a couple of larger ones. i used all making memories product on here … lots of garden party stuff. i was going to add some journaling … but figured it was pretty self explanitory. lol! i should at least add the date though … will do that later.

and see that little 2×3 block of white cardstock with the cute tag and flowers? yes, i used the cuttlebug on that. i finally got some embossing folders (after a 3 week wait on my order … don't ask) … and i love the texture and look they add! i havn't done anything too crazy with them yet … but i'm loving them so far!

Hi_card

and of course … a coordinating card from my scraps! i've always been pretty good about using my scraps … but i've been even better at it lately. make a layout … make a card. they just go together now.

so thank you jennifer … for giving me some inspiration! and it was just what i needed … because after that my creative juices started flowing. i have another layout and 2 more cards that i'll share tomorrow!

Thanks for the share Laura! Doesn’t Jennifer just rock? She is so creative. Love your version of the layout. I am really into MM Kraft paper right now. It is like the little black dress b/c it goes with everything! 🙂

Love, love, love the LO Laura!!! Heather’s right, that Kraft is the little black dress of scrapbooking. And how come you have that embossing folder and I don’t? I’ve never seen it! It looks great on the page!
And I counted…10 pics on one page! They are all a perfect size and you worked them well on one page. TFS! Always love seeing your LOs!

What a cute LO! Everything on your lo’s always works – even when you use an even number of things (flowers, pics) – amazing!
And I must say, everytime I look at your lo’s I feel the need to buy floss and actually use it – it’s the added touch that always works ~ like your “signature”

This layout is like always : very beautiful, but today I am happy, because the idea of make a card with scraps of a layout did not come to me earlier, and I think that I will take this idea for my next creations. Thank you

Love love love it. You used the best “inspiration” layout and just perfected it! I love all of the different types of polkadots (my fave) – included the embossed ones! I’m so glad you finally got your folders…and yes, you are really making me want to spend some money! Love the coordinating card as well – just perfect! :o)

Love your layout Laura, love how you’ve adapted Jennifer’s design to your style. That embossed piece looks great and you’re so good at the ‘do a layout, do a card’ thing!
I have some of the MM Garden Party collection … I’ve had it ages, but haven’t used any of it yet … I really should dig it out, but I’m in a bit of a scrapbooking funk at the minute!
Thanks for linking up Jennifer’s blog, I didn’t realise she had a blog, but I love her stuff in the mags, so will definately be checking it out regularly.

Yeah you broke the scrapper’s block! LOVE how many pics are on this without it looking cluttered. My hardest part of scrapping is the journaling & there are lots of times I just want to leave it out. I agree that this is self explanatory–LOVE that MM! The card is adorable & happy looking!!
