made this halloween coaster today, just for fun. definately not a coaster that you would set a drink on. lol! i was actually going to make a card. but i came across these bazzill coasters that i had a ton of, from years ago, and i like the chunkiness of little projects like these. no idea what i'll do with it. maybe just set it by the front door. just something to get me playing with product again, in all honesty 🙂

Boo_coaster

the coaster is about 5 1/2 inches square, and made of thick chipboard. i covered it with my pattern paper, which is actually from last years halloween collection from making memories. i sanded down the edges, and then inked them with some black ink. i tied some trims around the bottom of the coaster. the orange ribbon is from last years collection, but the black/orange trim is from the spook alley trims & treats set (has the cutest puffy fabric ghosts!). i used my favorite black shimmer chipboard alphabets for the "boo", and adhered that center "o" with mini pop dots to raise it up a bit. added a quick journaling label and a regular office clip to the top corner. and a few super cute deco pins added a fun touch to the trims. just be careful where you put this, since those pins can prick quite easily (ask me how i know!).

This is adorable! I saw the new MM paper yesterday & it took all my willpower not to buy it!
Do you mind if I ask you what you adhere the paper to the chipboard with? I alter frames all the time, and use modge podge- just haven’t tried the chipboard thing yet! 🙂

Laura!! Love this…such a fun project to put out for Halloween! I may have to lift this. I know I have a ton of those coasters…when Keisha was using those I had to run out to buy them.
I like Diana’s idea of putting it on an easel.

Oh how I love this project. Your are so blessed and talented.
Here is a thought. You could use all the extras to make plant sticks (not sure of the true name)just glue a dowel stick on the back. For Fall coasters you could use a tree brancn too. It would be fun to be used in a large potted plant or outdoors. How about place cards for a party? Too much coffee this morning. Hope I suggested something good. I know how it is when you have lots of something and would like to use it in a different way.
As always many thanks for sharing your time and talent.
